About us
The idea behind Making Friends Tour is simple: boats are better shared. A day on the water, a tour of a yacht you could never afford, a long lunch at a harbour restaurant — each of these is more memorable when you meet interesting people along the way.
From our base in Berlin we organise boat walkthroughs and travel experiences, and we write about what we learn: how to stay safe, how to keep a boat in good shape and where to point the bow next.

Our approach
Planning time on the water involves a lot of small decisions: which boat, which harbour, what the weather will do, where to eat afterwards. We do that groundwork so your day is about the experience, not the logistics.
When something is outside what we know, we say so and point you to someone who does. That is the same standard we apply to everything we publish.

We are based in Berlin, so many plans start on the city's rivers and lakes. Our destination guides also cover longer boating trips elsewhere in Germany and around Europe. Contact us for current dates.
